Announcing a New Section: Reflections of a Practitioner
Nephrology practice is as much about the human experience navigating complex decisions, forming long-term patient relationships, and managing emtional and ethical challenges as it is about clinical diagnostics and therapeutics. This new section gives medical practitioners a space to share personal narratives, qualitative insights, and reflective essays drawn from their professional experiences in kidney care.
We invite submissions from Nephrologists, trainees, general practitioners and allied health professionals working in clinical nephrology. Contributions may explore:
- Firsthand clinical experiences that shaped your approach to pateint care or professional growth.
- Reflections on difficult conversations, end-of-life care, or shared decision making.
- Lessons learned from diagnostic dilemmas, unexpected outcomes, or systemic challenges.
- Stories highlighting the human connection between clinicians, patients and healthcare teams.
Submissions are now open. Authors can submit their manuscripts via the journal portal under the Reflections of a Practitioner article type.
